Beth A. Young, MA, LMHC
Beth Young graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with a Masters of Arts in Counseling and a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2008. She started her own practice in Birmingham, AL, with a dear colleague and counseled there until moving back to Central Florida in 2016. Beth sees each of her clients as a unique story—one full of hope, pain, loss, boredom, grief… and innumerable plot twists. She counts it a privilege to walk with people in the places they are afraid, alone, numb, or stuck. She particularly enjoys working with postpartum moms, people engaged in full time ministry and other helping professions, adult abuse recovery, grief, anxiety, spiritual concerns, and a range of women’s issues. Outside of working with individuals, she provides pre-marital counseling and works with couples in crisis or those simply seeking to enrich their marriage.
Beth’s practice is separate from, but maintains space inside, the White Picket Fence Counseling Center just down the street from Florida Hospital. The facility there provides a calm and confidential atmosphere convenient to I-4 and central to College Park, Winter Park, Colonialtown, and downtown Orlando.
In her spare time, Beth makes it a personal goal to pack up her family of five and hit the beach as often as possible. She is thankful to be back near water and the beauty of moss laden oak trees.
