SHINE Children's Ministry

SHINE welcomes our youngest disciples to grow in the fellowship of God's love and their knowledge of Jesus Christ. We offer a safe environment to worship, learn, pray and sing.

Dr. Swanson recently announced our new Sunday morning plans, which included bringing children back into worship. You may have more questions and that’s ok. Take a look at some frequently asked questions for more information.

Update your info

If your children attend SHINE Children's Ministry activities on Sunday morning, you'll want to make sure your family’s information is updated for the coming year. It only takes about 15 minutes to sign in and ensures we have your contact info, any allergies to be aware of, and other important details we need to care for your children. Fill it out online, so you don't have to stand in line to fill out the forms (online) before you can check your children in that morning.

Apply to Volunteer!

There are many ways to get involved with SHINE!

We are looking for friendly people who love Jesus and children to greet, lead a Sunday School class, serve as extra hands during Sunday mornings, or help during the week in preparation for various events.

Please fill out the form below and expect to hear from SHINE staff once we receive your submission. If you have any questions, please email Taylor Boutelle or call her at 407.423.3441 x2281.

Come and volunteer with the little members of the congregation and see how these relationships can grow into a beautiful relationship for the Lord!

Rooted from Hope for Orphans

Rooted is a Gospel-driven curriculum for parents of adoptive and foster children, and we hope to share it with anyone walking through this unique journey. We have had a significant response from our SHINE families to learn more. We have free access to this amazing resource through FPCO. Won’t you join us? Contact Rhissa Parker for more information.

Rejoice! Children's Choir

Rejoice! Children’s Choir, K-5th Grades

Your child is invited to join us on Sundays as we rehearse and prepare to bring our most excellent offering to God in worship! Our ensemble meets in the rehearsal hall on Sunday mornings at 8:30am. When finished, we walk students to Sunday School in the Clayton Life Center. We meet during the Fall and Spring seasons, but we take the summer off.

During rehearsal, we warm-up, sing, play Orff instruments, and clean-up as a team. Our only rule is “respect,” and we apply that to everything we say and do. Each student and teacher is expected to do his or her best, and every day that is a little different.

Our goal is always to bring our most excellent offering to God in worship. We strive to play skillfully as we are called to do by rehearsing each week. All children are musical, and each co-director has a love of encouraging and growing that musicality in each child.

No audition is required.

Questions? Email Brittni Autrey, or call 407-423-3441.

Where to Go

All of the fun for kids in SHINE takes place in the Clayton Life Center, located on the corner of Jackson Street and Magnolia Avenue.

Check In & Security

When you arrive in the Lobby of the Clayton Life Center, one of our SHINE Team Members will be available to assist you and walk you through our secure check-in process.

Each child from birth through 5th Grade is directed toward age-appropriate activities designed to engage and encourage them, in rooms where our SHINE Team helps to welcome them and help to make everyone feel at home. All of our Volunteers and Staff have had background checks and volunteer training. All SHINE staff are CPR Certified.

If you have questions about SHINE, please email Kim Allen or call her at 407.423.3441 x2281.
