THE REASON TO LIVE
Listen and learn as Congregational Care Pastor, Dr. Paul Gibson, discusses suicide prevention and how we, as Christians, can make a difference in our church, community, and family. Dr. Gibson dives into Acts 16:25-36 to read about a case of suicidal ideation found in the Bible. In Acts, Paul & Silas (1) intervened in their jailer’s crisis, (2) stopped him from harming himself, and (3) gave him a reason to live. We can follow the same steps to prevent suicide today. As Christians, we have the ultimate reason for life. We have the ultimate meaning when it comes to living – to pursue Christ, to live in the grace and hope of His Kingdom, and to love others like He loves us. Hear first-hand accounts from Dr. Gibson and be equipped with ways that you can help others as they navigate crisis.
This is the fourth episode in a previously aired mini-series where Dr. Gibson explores the intersection of faith and mental health. Another episode will launch every other week. Follow along!
