Care & Support
As Christians, we are called to care for those in our church family and community who are hurting or wounded. Pastors, staff and leaders from our First Pres community make it a priority to visit the sick, hospitalized and homebound and to be available at our weekly worship services to pray with anyone in need.
Hospital Visits & Pastoral Emergencies
If you know someone who is sick, in the hospital, or homebound, and would welcome a visit, please call Maddy Vilar at 407.423.3441 x1159.
For pastoral emergencies outside of the 8:30am to 5:00pm church office hours, please leave a voicemail message at 407.423.3441 x1911. The message center will page the minister on call, who will reply as soon as possible.
Memorial Services & Funerals
Care of families during crisis and bereavement is one of the most essential ministries we provide to our church family. If you have questions about celebrating the life of an individual, upcoming services or funeral pre-planning, please call Tammas Smith at 407.423.3441 x1455 or email Tammas.
A Stephen Minister is a member of the church family trained to help meet the needs of those who are struggling or in crisis. They focus on listening and being present for those who are hospitalized, bereaved, disabled, facing difficult spiritual questions, homebound, terminally ill or simply lonely. If you think you may benefit from receiving the care of a Stephen Minister, call Maddy Vilar at 407.423.3441 x1159 or email Maddy.
All inquires are completely confidential.
Support groups are small groups that address specific challenges that have emerged in the life of our church family and community. They provide a safe environment to share and relate with others while growing in our own awareness of Jesus’ redemptive plan for each of our lives.
First Pres offers a small coalition of Christian counselors we feel confident referring our members to for help. The counselors feel honored to serve you, providing a unique perspective of seeing how God, through the Gospel, redeems people through the darkest and most troubling times of their lives.
