#WeAreFirstPres Stories: Remember Your First Car?
by Bret Allen, inister of Family Life
Orlando Heart of the City Fellow from Kansas City, Lexie Sutter, is God’s favorite!
This year’s regional Fellows retreat focused on excess. We reflected on times in our lives when we had more than we needed, excess, and how we could use it to bless others. Lexie courageously shared how she grew up having just enough, but never more than she needed, and definitely not excess. She expressed feeling like a burden to others because she didn't have a car and always had to ask for rides. God tugged on my heart to return home and find a car for Lexie. An anonymous donor from First Pres gave $10,000 for Lexie to get a car, tag, pay taxes and 6 months of insurance. Not only was Lexie blessed beyond measure, but all who witnessed this Relentless Generosity saw the loving and bountiful provision of our Lord Jesus. As of 02.02.21, Lexi is the exuberant owner of her very first car! Our God is extravagant in blessing, and calls us to give relentlessly of our time and gifts.
You’re God’s favorite too! How have you received, witnessed or shared God’s extravagant blessings? Share your story & photo to SrPastorOffice@fpco.org
