Noon Time Moments of Peace and Prayer

Hello and Welcome to Noon Time Prayer!

This Easter week we turn to the Gospel of John to walk with Jesus as He encounters others after His resurrection.  We will continue to prayerfully read a place in God’s Word and then pray for our church, city, country, world, and own lives. May God encourage our hearts as we pray together from our homes!

OPENING PRAYER

Almighty and Gracious God,

With the joy and triumph of Easter Sunday, along with the sorrow and uncertainty of this world, we come to You.

We take a breath and pause in Your Presence, thankful that You are here.

We rejoice in Jesus’ resurrection and the hope of eternal life, yet our minds and hearts swirl with many thoughts and emotions.

Laying our lives in Your Hands, we ask You to guide and renew us as we read Your Word.

We pray this in our Savior’s name, Amen.

PRAYERFULLY READING FROM THE GOSPEL OF JOHN

Suggestion for how to pray through each daily Scripture:

As you read about Jesus and his encounters with others, how might be God be speaking to you a new this week?

How might Jesus’ words spoken to his disciples and others be words of life and hope, guidance, conviction, and love which you need today?

CLOSING PRAYER FOR EACH DAY THIS WEEK

Loving God,

You sit enthroned over all the earth as our King of Kings and Lord of All,

and You enter into each of our homes and lives.

In the midst of tears, doubt, and great sorrow You meet us.

Open our eyes and ears to all of the ways that You are revealing Yourself to us.

Give us hope and fill us with courage and Your peace.

Help us go forth into the rest of this day with the strong name of Jesus Christ to sustain us.

We pray this in His name, Amen.

As you walk through each day this week, may God strengthen you and fill you with all that you need for each moment.

Hope in Christ,

Becky Davis
