 PASTOR APPRECIATION SUNDAY

The Ruling Elders of First Pres will host this day of appreciation for the unwavering dedication of our pastors – and their families – in their ministry to us. This is a day for our entire First Pres Family to participate in showing love and thanks!

Our Teaching Elders have poured their hearts into guiding and nurturing our congregation, equipping us with God's word, and exemplifying Christ's love in their actions. This Pastor Appreciation Sunday, we want to take the time to offer an exuberant celebration of thanks to our incredibly dedicated pastors and their families.

WE NEED YOU!

We invite all members of our First Pres Family to participate. You can contribute by submitting handwritten letters* of appreciation – sharing personal anecdotes and stories that demonstrate the impact our pastors have had on your life. Additionally, you may contribute to a special gift for our pastors, a token of love and gratitude from us, the congregation.

THE EVENT

During both worship services on October 1, our Elders will take a moment to share their heartfelt appreciation, reflecting on the immense contributions made by our pastors in guiding our faith and leading our Church Family. We will pray over our pastors, seeking God's blessings for their continued strength, wisdom, and guidance in their ministry.

Between worship services, we will hold a reception in Lee Fellowship Hall. Join us for light refreshments and a chance to hear inspiring words from our elders as we continue to express our gratitude and love. There will be an opportunity to write a note of appreciation at the reception, or bring a pre-written card to the reception.

Let us come together to honor those who serve us tirelessly, giving thanks for their dedication and devotion to God's work at First Pres. This is an occasion to cherish and celebrate the tremendous impact our pastors have had on our lives and the life of our church.
