As a part of our annual Summer of Service, First Pres is going to the Dominican Republic! We invite you to prayerfully consider this incredible opportunity for you, your friends, your small group, or your entire family!

07.12-19 | JARABACOA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
ATTENTION, CHURCH FAMILY: Whether college ministry, 20s, families with or without children, small group, friend group, or flying solo – join us!
Teaming with our new partners, Mission of Hope, we’ll participate in ministry and service projects to meet the most immediate needs in their community. Examples projects: painting, construction, sports camps, kids’ club at a local church, community clean up, distributing water filters, etc.
This will be a life-changing experiences as we are challenged outside of our comfort by humbly meeting new people and learning a new country, culture and lifestyle. As we participate in building the Church and fulfilling the Great Commission, we are transformed as we seek and serve those beyond our usual spheres.
We wholeheartedly aim to be the hands and feet of Jesus – to the glory of God, Our Father – and we pray that you’ll lean into His call.
SCHEDULE
Saturday, July 12: Arrive in the Dominican Republic. Unpack. Orientation.
Sunday, July 13: Atten local church. Relax on campus. Enjoy the coffee shop and market.
Monday-Thursday, July 14-17: Ministry and service projects in the community.
Friday, July 18: Excursion – Jarabacoa River Club and Coffee Plantation Tour
Saturday, July 19: Return to Orlando.

It’s time to get excited! Mission of Hope, in Jarabacoa DR, is ready to welcome our First Pres team. After seeing the photos and videos you’ll have a great vision for where we’re headed and what we’ll do.

$625 PER PERSON (not including airfare)

● Translators, Lodging & Meals
● Emergency medical traveler’s insurance (coverage details upon request)
● Transportation in the Dominican Republic, including airport pick-up and drop off

Optional Additional Costs
● Personal souvenir money for the Mission of Hope market and coffee shop. (Cash or Paypal app only; smaller bills suggested & Paypal app needs to be downloaded prior to arrival in the DR.)
● Internet cost: $25/week/person (paid via credit card or cash when you arrive on campus).
● Lunch money for excursion day if you want something in addition to what’s included.
