#WeAreFirstPres Stories: Spark of Christmas Joy
The Orlando Fellows have been singing Christmas hymns during their weekly worship times — and they sound so good! They decided to spread cheer as carollers, “The Singing Orlando Fellows” just like The VonTrapp Family! They baked Christmas cookies as gifts for First Pres Families, loaded up the van, and headed out for an evening of singing!
For 2+ hours, The Fellows visited the homes of Gordy & Kate Wilhite, Scott & Scarlett Broughton, Jeff & Grace Brown, Davis & Val Hale, Joel & Anna Hall, Josh & Emily Luker and their high school girls’ small group, Darrell & Meredith Carpenter, Chuck & Tam Costar, and Barbara Allen. Neighbors came out of their homes and enjoyed the festivity.
Revelers share their delight:
Orlando Fellows surprised our family with Christmas carols on Monday, and I am so grateful our kids get to see examples of young adults delighting in God this Advent season. -Grace & Jeff Brown
“The Fellow’s caroling was such a welcomed surprise, and the perfect way to spread joy in this difficult year!”
“It was an unexpected spark of Christmas JOY and I hope it becomes an annual tradition!”
Christmas caroling with my fellow Fellows in the chilly weather was a great way to start the week in the Christmas spirit! -Katie Bruggeman.
