With each season of the Liturgical Year, our SHINE Children’s Ministry drops boxes of fun at the homes of our First Pres families. LitKits provide tools for families to learn and grow together through Missional activities that focus on Biblical truths. Lent LitKits did not disappoint! Cross candles, Bible verses, Easter calendar countdown, bean blessing jars, resurrection cookies, stained glass window crafts, and a prompt to send notes of Easter Joy to “Young at Heart” penpals. The McEwan family said, “Thank you for our Lent LitKit! It was a great way to dive deeper into the season as a family!” We look forward to this Sunday’s palm procession with our children, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” (Luke 19:38)
