JULY 18-24 | SAN JOSE, COSTA RICS
This trip is for anyone in our Church Family who feel called to serve on a short-term mission trip in Costa Rica! Families are encouraged to bring middle and high school students.*
We’re partnering with Filter of Hope to distribute water filters to remote villages with limited access to clean water.
Each day, we’ll divide into small groups and visit homes in villages that lack access to clean water. We will install a water filter for each family and demonstrate how to use and maintain it. During these visits, we’ll evangelize — using the water filter as an analogy of the Gospel. Each family will be connected with a local church to ensure ongoing support after we depart.
We’ll also enjoy a fun day in Costa Rica together on a mountain excursion with strawberry picking, visiting a coffee plantation, and enjoying lunch with waterfall views!

July is Strike Hunger month at First Pres! Through the Relentless Generosity of our Church Family, we’ll feed families struggling with food insecurity during the summer. There are TWO great ways to get involved:
FOOD DONATION | July 2026 | Edington Ministry Center Lobby
We’re partnering with the Christian Service Center to stock their pantry this summer! Deliver shelf-stable food to the EMC Lobby during business hours, M-F, in July. Collection bins will also be available under the Angel Wing on Sunday mornings.
ITEMS NEEDED: Canned goods with pop-tops (soups, ravioli, beans, vegetables, chili, tuna, chicken salad, etc.), cereal, mac & cheese, peanut butter, crackers, Vienna sausage, and other shelf-stable items.

Consider who you’ll invite! Gather eight coworkers, neighbors, friends or family. Together, we’ll serve lunch to our community in need – Loving Our City with warm food and loving care.
NOW is your chance to become a part of the Commission127 FAM! Family Helpers serve by providing meals, running errands, assisting with housework, doing yard work, laundry, and helping with other practical tasks to support foster families in our community.
