Born and raised in Kissimmee, Florida. She attended First Methodist Church in Kissimmee mainly for the activities for children. She went to Jones Business College in Jacksonville and then moved to Orlando to work for an attorney. Her husband is Dale Bellows and she has a son, Trey Barnes, his wife, Robyn, and two precious grandsons, Carter and Austin. She joined First Pres in 1995 and has been involved in bible studies, volunteered at Serve Day, VBS and General Assembly.
Tonya is excited and honored to serve her second term as a Deacon, first term in the EPC! She is a proud native Floridian, and has been married to her husband, Robert, for almost 28 years. They have been members of First Pres for 21 years. It has been their joy and privilege to share in the lives of the youth of our church many of those years, as middle and high school Sunday school teachers, small group leaders, and retreat and mission leaders. Tonya is a Stephen Minister, and loves studying the Bible. She also has an antiques business at a shop in Winter Park.
Katherine is an Orlando native and has been a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. She has been a Sunday School teacher, a member of the Arts Council and on the Monday prayer team. She volunteers at Grace Medical Home and, in the past, has volunteered at Compassion Corner and IDignity. She is married to Bob Davis, mother to Jim, Whit and Katie and the grandmother of six wonderful grandchildren.
A member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando since 2001. She is married to David Foote, has two grown sons, a step-daughter, step-son-in-law and two beautiful grandchildren and son by choice, Tobias Rainey. She lives in Belle Isle and works as a Histotechnologist in the Pathology laboratory at Orlando Health. Carole has previously served with 4:12 (ASOM) along with Jobs Partnership of Orlando and currently serves and facilitates a small group in Stephen’s Ministry. She regularly participates in the Women Engaged Bible studies, and you'll find her attending the traditional 8:30am worship service and B.A.S.I.C.S. most Sunday mornings.
Born and raised in Central New Jersey in a Jewish home. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1993 with a B.F.A. in Industrial Design and recently from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music with an M.F.A. in Theatrical Production in 2013. It was in 1997 she moved to Orlando, Florida where she started working for Walt Disney World and where many spiritual seeds had been planted that manifested into a relationship with Christ. She was Baptized in 2004 and became a member of First Pres in 2005. She has sung in the choir, served as a Stephen’s Minister, in the flower ministry, Alpha Ministry, co-led a Messianic Passover Seder in the King’s Parlor, came in 2nd place behind Dr. Swanson in the Dancing with the Pastors fundraiser, and has enjoyed many women’s bible studies in addition to belonging to area Life Groups.
Dr. Doug Jones
A member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando for eleven years. He is an active adult Boy Scout leader and attended several men's activities. He is a veterinarian and married to Rhonda Jones who is a teacher. He is the "proud" father of five adult children and the "even prouder" grandfather of six grandchildren.
Born in 1949 in Orlando, Florida at what was then Orange Memorial Hospital, now called Orlando Health Hospital. Her siblings include: brother Johnny Brilleman and sister Barabra Dearduff. Her mother and father deceased over 20 years ago. 29 years after her divorce, a friend brought her to First Presbyterian Church Orlando to attend and attend the Divorce Recovery Program. She gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized by Jim Cook on Feb. 26, 1992, and proceeded to join the church. She started ushering in 1992 and from 2002-2008 co-taught 7th-8th grade girls Sunday School classes. Nurse for 43 years now retired; she is currently a part-time licensed massage therapist.
A member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando for more than 20 years. She began attending First Pres when she was dating her husband John who is a 3rd generation member of the church. She has been involved in the past in the (former) young adult ministry, nursery, children and youth departments as well as the Weekday School. She has two sons: Zach, who is a sophomore in college, and Joseph is a sophomore in high school. Barbara is honored and humbled to be called to serve as a Deacon.
A member of First Pres for about 6 years. She has been married to Sam for 12 years and they have a beautiful daughter named Emma who attends the Christ School. Her main career has been photography, but she also recently become a licensed hairstylist and works at In Style Hair in Baldwin Park. She has been a post-abortion counselor in New York as well as Orlando, and has led many post-abortion bible study recovery groups. Amy has also been a Stephen Minister since 2010. She is looking forward to this next season of new adventures!
Gilbert Smith has been a member of First Pres since 1994. He has volunteered in the A/V department for 10 years and has previously volunteered as a Deacon. He is married to his beautiful and talented wife Tammas Smith for 20 years and has a cute dog named Sophie (2yrs.). He loves going to First Pres and helping out at various church functions. Also, he enjoys tennis and whitewater rafting in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Dr. Bob Williams
Bob and his wife, Linda, are the parents of three adult married children and the grandparents of nine wonderful grandchildren. Bob grew up in the Lutheran church. His family attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Orlando for many years. Bob served as an elder and in many other capacities at the church. He has been a member of First Pres for five years. Before retiring as a Department Chair in the College of Education at the University of Central Florida, he worked as a teacher, school psychologist, principal, and superintendent of schools. He also served in the United States Marine Corp Reserves. Bob has published articles, written a book on leadership, and been the keynote speaker at several conferences. Recently, his debut fiction novel, “The Eastside of Town was published.
Linda's family consists of Bob, her husband of forty-five years, three married children, Bryan, Hollie, and Mark, along with nine ‘very busy’ grandchildren. She attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with Bob and her children for 20 years. Linda was active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, taught Sunday school, and served in other capacities at Prince of Peace. She and Bob have been members of First Pres for five years. Linda worked in the Orange County school system for almost 30 years as a speech/language pathologist, providing services for mentally and physically challenged students, as well as students in classes from pre-k through 5th grade. She worked as a full-time mentor for speech/language pathologists in the schools and as an adjunct for the University of Central Florida, training interns as speech/language pathologists in the school setting. Since coming to First Pres, Linda has been involved in Stephen’s Ministry for four years, the intercessory prayer team, and women’s Bible study.
