Room for God in Your Thoughts?

There is a phrase in Psalm 10 (v.4) that is intriguing. “In his pride the wicked does not seek [the Lord]; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.”
Making “room for God” in your thoughts is an interesting thought. How much or how often do we actually do that? I must confess, most of the time I am simply lost in my own thoughts and do not think to open my heart to God and gain His perspective.
What is involved in making room for God? Obviously time, unhurried time. It also comes from a genuine desire to know God’s mind. Knowing God’s mind will call us to action and inevitably, change.
That alone may be a reason why we subconsciously live in our own worlds. We may not really want to change, at least not make significant changes. Something to think about…
