No Detail is Insignificant
by Dr. Dan Sharp, Minister of Worship
In a few days we’ll sing “O Little Town of Bethlehem.” We all know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, which means “house of bread.” Jesus would later say, “I am the bread of life.”
Bethlehem was also the birthplace of King David and it was the place settled by the tribe of Judah, to which, both David and Jesus, belonged. That particular tribe of the nation of Israel made that area their home hundreds of years before David was born and more than a thousand years before the birth of Christ.
Bethlehem was a very ordinary, humble village, yet was the site of God taking on human flesh as prophesied by Micah. Quite often God works in very ordinary situations, in humble settings to accomplish His will and purpose.
As God works out His purposes in the life of His children, nothing is insignificant in their lives, or in yours.
