Advent Sermon Series
This Advent, we look to recapture the "wonder" of what God has done through His incarnation.
DECEMBER 3 | The Wonder of a Star | Matthew 2:2
Wonder begins with a glorious star. God used the cosmic phenomenon to lead the wise men to Christ. Will we have the courage to follow the signs God provides?
DECEMBER 10 | The Wonder of God Become Man | John 1:1-5, 14-18
The incarnation of God in human flesh is a mind-blowing concept. In fact, as Christians we often take it for such granted, we rarely pause to consider this "wonder," and the implications. How does a thin view of the incarnation undermine our spiritual formation, or perhaps some of the easy heresies about Jesus' being which frequently plagues us today, in and out of the church?
DECEMBER 17 | The Wonder of a Manger | Luke 2:7
All the wonders of Christmas point to the wonder of a promise kept. It is the promise of our future that gives us hope, strength, and security for life in this present world. Further, we are called to keep that promise by making the promise real in the lives of those around us. We are to be the agents of the incarnation.
