Moths, Rust and Thieves
by Dr. Dan Sharp, Minister of Worship
Have you ever noticed how much easier it is to respond to something you can see or touch than something you can’t?
We are physical beings who live in a physical world making it hard to comprehend the reality of another world we cannot see or touch. Many people in our world strive to acquire visible things. Those things give to us a false sense of permanence. Because we can see and touch, we assume they will always be here–that is unless a moth gets into that formerly beautiful sweater or the salt water does a number on the boat.
Today, let’s accumulate treasure you can’t see or touch. Jesus gave us the treasure map, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
