Message: “Cracked Pots and Treasure"
The Message starts at 30:47
Today is Epiphany, a day in which the Church commemorates, among several things, the visit of the magi, or wise men, from the east. They came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The visitors from the east brought forth incredibly valuable gifts to offer the newborn King, as a way to honor Him. We also, like the magi, are invited to bring forth our treasure to God. The twist, however, is that God has gifted us already with that treasure. As mere "clay pots", we are shaped and formed in varying ways, and we all have imperfections aplenty! Fortunately, the treasure we contain is from God, the Gospel! As we begin 2019 and the implementation phase of our visioning process, we seek to reframe our understanding of our role in God’s mission to the city of Orlando. This Sunday, we ask, “What treasure do YOU bring?”
