The OASIS After School Program seeks to provide the academic, social and character-building skills elementary age students need to reach their full potential.

First Presbyterian Church of Orlando and the City of Orlando are in partnership to provide the leadership, space and resources needed for this program at the Northwest Community Center.  Our goal is to work with the students’ schools to improve their grades, attendance, behavior in class, and reading and math achievement scores.  We desire to develop a strong relationships with the parents to encourage them to become a positive influence on their child’s education. Volunteers are a vital part of the OASIS program.  Positive relationships between volunteers and students can improve students’ academic performance, engagement in school and lead to higher student aspirations. Volunteers provide the necessary one-on-one and small group support that our students need to succeed.
