Learning & Growth
Discipleship is a process of transformation , becoming more like God throughout a lifetime of following Jesus. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals of different ages, interests and experience to learn and grow as disciples at First Pres.
Sunday School isn't just for kids. At First Pres, we take adult education and discipleship seriously. A wide variety of class are offered on Sunday mornings, ranging from small discussion-based formats to larger, lecture-style courses. Unless otherwise noted, classes meet from 9:45am to 10:45am each Sunday.

We believe that the creative arts are gifts of God to individuals and the church. We seek to provide the highest caliber arts for worship and to provide teams/ensembles for people of all ages and ability levels. We offer diverse music and artistic opportunities to encourage artists to find the presence of God through the creative arts, and arts culture, and to celebrate the creative arts in all their forms, within their original guardian -- the church.
We utilize musical arts in the choirs & Genesis band, technical and production arts, and visual arts in our worship experiences.

Founded in 1994, MusikGarten is an internationally known, preeminent early childhood music program available to children ages birth through 9 years old. Classes are informal and structured in a way which is age appropriate. Each lesson includes: singing, dancing, playing instruments, listening, and pattern work. All classes are structured as a group setting alongside parents, and expose your child to the many aspects of music. MusikGarten’s founders are strong advocates of extensive training for their instructors, offering support to each center and their leaders, and provide continuing education through monthly newsletters and yearly trainings.
First Pres offers MusicGarten on a semester basis, in the Fall, Spring and Summer.
We facilitate your child’s foundation of basic music skills which are: singing on pitch and keeping a steady beat. Your child learns best through what you model, and our goal is to give each parent the tools to bring music into their child’s life, and ultimately, the family.
To learn more about MusikGarten and upcoming schedules, email Kelli Cummins-Branson or call the Worship Arts Department at 407.423.3441 x1462.
