When Good Guys Win
by Dr. Dan Sharp, Minister of Worship
We all like it when the good guys win. In truth, it doesn’t seem to happen often enough. Maybe I’m pessimistic, but it seems like the bad guys get away with bad more often than the good guys are rewarded for good.
Something about living in this world tells us that things should be fair but they clearly aren’t. Of course there are all kinds of reasons, most of which you already know. So I want to abbreviate that part. Put in the shortest way possible, sin has entered the world. Though we live on this planet now, it won’t always be this way.
Psalm 21 tells us ultimately, we will exalt the Lord for his way will triumph and the enemy, the evil, the sin will be destroyed forever. When God is your enemy, as is the case for evil, put simply, you are destroyed! But the world we live in and many people in it are battling God whether they know it or not. The war is actually over; we are just living in the mop-up battles. Keep these things in mind as you go through this day.
