Summer Reformation Lecture Series
We will host four lectures focusing on ways in which the practices of the church were reshaped by biblical teaching in the 16th century. All the lectures will be held in the Reformation Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando located at 106 E. Church St., Orlando, FL 32801. Lectures are free and open to the public.
In October 1517, Martin Luther posted 95 theses for public disputation, drawing widespread attention to facets of the Christian religion deeply in need of reform. Over the years that followed, he and other reformers explored the work of Christ, the reality of grace, and the rule of God’s Word with a penetrating insight unrivaled in church history. RTS traces its lineage through centuries of faithful men and women who have entrusted themselves to the God of the gospel and sought to follow the inerrant teaching of God’s Word, commending that gospel and Word to the nations. We celebrate the way in which God moved half a millennium ago through leaders such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and other reformers to bring a greater alertness to the wonders of Christ, the greatness of grace, and the authority of the Holy Scripture.
