SUNDAY CAR TALK
Questions to ask your children on the way home...
1ST - 4TH GRADE
Big Picture Question: Who heals us from our sin? (Jesus heals us from our sin.)
- Who was Naaman and what kind of sickness did Naaman have? (He was the commander of the Syrian army who was sick with leprosy, a terrible skin disease; 2 Kings 5:1)
- How did Elisha help Naaman? (Elisha told him to go wash in the Jordan River seven times and he would be well; 2 Kings 5:10-14)
- What kind of sickness do we (all people) have? (All of us have the disease of sin, which separates us from God.)
- Who heals us from our sin? (Because Jesus suffered in our place, His death and resurrection makes it possible for us to be washed clean, just like Naaman in the Jordan River, and be restored to God, just like Naaman's health was restored.)
Christ Connection: Naaman was sick with a skin problem. His disease went away when he washed in the river. All people are sick with a sin problem. We all need a Healer. When we trust Jesus as Lord and Savior, God forgives our sin and heals us.
