Humanitarian Aid in Iraq
As First Pres responds to the humanitarian crisis in Northern Iraq, we invite you to do the same. Many in our church family have voiced prayers and a desire to take action, and this is a way to provide direct relief for the survivors and refugees in the midst of widespread and increasing violence.
As the Islamic State jihadists (IS) grow in numbers, the massacre and displacement of Christians, Yazdis and other peoples in the northern regions of Iraq and Syria continues. In coordination with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, we are working with Christian Aid Mission who has been on the ground providing food, clothing, medical assistance and shelter to those fleeing from the area.
Donations also can be sent to the EPC Office of the General Assembly at 17197 N. Laurel Park Dr., Suite 567, Livonia, MI 48152 or securely online. When giving online, choose “Emergency Relief” from the category menu, then choose “Iraqi Christian Relief (018)” from the subcategory menu. All contributions received by the EPC will be forwarded directly to Christian Aid Mission.
Please continue to pray for the people of Iraq and Syria.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."
