Hearts That Hate
by Dr. Dan Sharp, Minister of Worship
“Love your neighbor, hate your enemy.” That phrase is being played out throughout the world, nowhere more clearly than in the Middle East and in Ukraine and Russia.
Jesus’ great challenge to us comes from this portion of His Sermon on the Mount. We are instructed to pray for our enemies.
This day let us pray for these and other nations who are at war. May God’s Holy Spirit intervene and bring healing. God’s transformation of the human heart is the ultimate solution. Loving an enemy doesn't depend on them, it depends on us. Let us pray to that end.
