Don’t Always Do, Just Be
by Dr. Dan Sharp, Minister of Worship
Do you ever get tired of always “doing?” Sometimes I like to just sit and “be!” As I was working on this meditation, I really couldn’t get a bead on a subject. As I prayed, it occurred to me, that sometimes just being quiet in the Lord’s presence is enough. We can be still and listen and just be present. We don’t have to do anything.
We live in a world which gives prizes for doing and very little recognition for being. What have you done lately? When was the last time someone asked you, How is your "being?" My guess is there are some people around you today that could benefit from just quietly being in God’s presence. Maybe one of those people is you.
