9/11 Commemorative Flag Planting & Remembrance Ceremony
Join Dr. David Swanson, Sunday, September 11 and Monday, September 12, as the Camaraderie Foundation, In partnership with the Orlando Police and Fire Departments, hosts two events to honor the victims and first responders of 9/11 and to raise awareness of the Invisible wounds of war.
Sunday, Camaraderie will plant over 25,000 flags on the Dr. Phillips Center Seneff Arts Plaza to symbolize those post 9/11 veterans suffering from the invisible wounds of war here in Central Florida. Planting begins at 6am and the Ceremony begins at 8:30am.
On Monday, a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony will take place at 9am to honor fallen Service Members and First Responders.
Speakers at both events will include Michael Waldrop, co-founder of the Camaraderie Foundation, Dr. David Swanson, Orlando Police Chief John Mina, and Orlando Fire Chief Roderick Williams.
The Camaraderie Foundation is an Orlando-based organization whose mission is to provide healing for invisible wounds of war through private counseling, spiritual comfort and emotional support for all branches of military service members, veterans and their families.
