The job of every Christian is to pray. Jesus’ example teaches us how important prayer should be in our daily life, not just in times of concern. Our ongoing prayer life with the Father is a privilege, sharing our joys, concerns and sorrows. Christians tend to use prayer as a last resort, when in fact, it should be the first thing we do. The First Presbyterian Church of Orlando has many opportunities to enrich your prayer life and hear your prayer concerns.
Prayer Request Cards
Complete the prayer request cards, which are available at every worship service in the pew racks or in the narthex, and drop them in the offering plate. The request will be kept confidential and a minister will pray for each request individually.
Intercessory Prayer Team
There is no substitute for prayer, especially in circumstances that seem impossible. Prayer is the key that unlocks faith in our lives. The devoted Intercessory Prayer Team of over 200 members who count no greater privilege than to bring your needs before God’s throne, will spend time in prayer for each request that day and throughout the rest of the week. Emergency Prayer Needs
For any emergency prayer needs, call the church office at 407.423.3441 and leave a detailed message. The minister on call will return your call within 24 hours.
Bulletin Prayer List
In each Sunday worship bulletin is a list of members and friends of the church who have special prayer needs. Please keep these names on your prayer list for a week and lift them up to God daily. To put a name on the bulletin prayer list, call the pastoral care office at 407.423.3441 x1455.
